Fine Arts Program in Spain
GENERALITIES
Exploring the image as a medium, creating a visual language, developing one’s sensitivity, researching and experimenting through drawing and painting techniques in their widest sense, allow the student to develop his/her creative personality pleasantly and coherently.
The plastic arts courses are designed as follows:
Two courses of common instruction (basic beginning stage)
First Cycle of two courses of specialties (painting – sculpture – drawing – engraving)
Second Cycle of two courses of Projects (in the selected specialty)
Daily (Monday to Friday) from 17:00 to 19:00 or from 19:30 to 21:30. |

GENERALITIES
Sculpture, from a contemporary viewpoint, has experimented deep changes throughout the present century. These changes have allowed it to approach innovative proposals using diverse techniques and materials.
The Sculpture courses of the Arts & Crafts School of Vitoria offer a progressive discovery of the world of sculpture, in which space, mass, light, transparency, movement, texture, and colour, together with many others, are the elements that bring us in contact with the world of contemporary plastic creation.
3 courses: Common instruction, Project, Creative workshop

GENERALITIES
Through the human figure (masculine / feminine model), we approach to the basic elements of the plastic representation, outline, form, line...
The sketch and the outline (frame, scale, standards and proportion)
Visual composition and rhythms, movement. Artistic anatomy.
The sketch, the fast drawing.
Acquiring agility, dominating the magic of the line, experimenting with diverse materials: fountain pen, pencil, charcoal, colour... these are some of the contents of the course.
Daily (Monday to Friday) from 19:30 to 21:30.

FIRST CYCLE
The different engraving and printing techniques and the use of materials, tools, machinery, etc.
1st Course (manufacture of paper-dry point-etching-aquatint-white varnish-sugar-glued paper-buril-colour printing)
2nd Course (oily pencil-tinted drawing-auditive techniques-oleoengraving-engraving and printing with two plates)
SECOND CYCLE
In depth development of the techniques learned in the first cycle.
3rd Course (photoengraving-professional printing)
4th Course (personal project development)

GENERALITIES
Ceramics, linked to human culture since the beginning of history, is a part of our artistic and creative world.
Discover and strengthen the necessary abilities of this field, introducing the student to the world of plastic arts, is the main aim developed in the Arts & Crafts School of Vitoria.

GENERALITIES
This workshop sums up the long tradition of the Arts & Crafts School in the field of wood art, by teaching its diverse techniques.
It develops its programme through an active relationship with the other workshops taught at the Centre.
While maintaining its own character, educational itinerary crosses over from basic woodcraft to creative and artistic forms that are developed at the other workshops of the Arts School.

The activity of this workshop is divided in two aspects:
ARTISTIC LEATHER, where all kinds of art and decorative objects are made (lamps, chests, murals, pictures, boxes, etc.)
MOROCCAN LEATHERWORK, dressing complements designed by the students themselves (bags, belts, wallets, etc.) In both cases, the techniques used are the most advanced in the field.

GENERALITIES
Textile-Tapestry Art: a dialogue between cloth, colour, shape, space, texture...
Reflections on a material that allows endless combinations for defining a plastic space.
The workshop’s programme introduces the student to the world of contemporary tapestry, focusing both on its traditional techniques and on the experimentation and research in the design and technical fields that identify our era.

Starting from something as simple as a book, through different types of binding techniques and using different materials we intend:
To learn and carry out different techniques for the perfect construction of a book.
To increase the students’ sensibility and creativity in the application of their own design.

GENERALITIES
The use of the latest computerised systems in graphics has produced different forms of artistic creation.
The course will introduce the student to these new art resources and their application in silk-screening and lithography.
CONTENTS
Computer image editing.
Phototypes.
Photosensitive emulsions.
Application of digital images to silk-screening and lithography.
Daily from Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 19:00. |
GENERALITIES
A practical workshop on the fundamentals of cinematographic language, image and sound in 20th century art.
The basic aim of the workshop is to strengthen our learning and use of audiovisual language in order to achieve the working autonomy necessary to complete a project, from its conception to the last edition.

Fundamentals of the image in motion.
Television.
Analogical and digital image.
Image and sound in 20th century art.
Free works: critical recordings, editions and viewing.
First course: Daily Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 19:00.
