D.E.L.E. exams are the most prestigious exams of Spanish as Foreign Language: Spanish as Foreign Language Diploma of Instituto Cervantes (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera - DELE).
The Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language (D.E.L.E.), granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, are official qualifications certifying levels of competence in the Spanish language.
It is the only certificate for non-native Spanish speakers that is officially recognized.
DELE Preparatory courses provide the specialized Spanish training to pass D.E.L.E. exams, the most prestigious exams of Spanish as Foreign Language and the only certificate for non-native Spanish speakers that is officially recognized: Diplomas in Spanish as Foreign Language of Instituto Cervantes (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera - DELE).
The D.E.L.E. exams consist of three levels:
- Diploma in Spanish - Beginner level - D.E.L.E. for Spanish beginners level
Certifies sufficient proficiency to cope with a range of situations requiring elementary use of the language.
- Diploma in Spanish - Intermediate level - D.E.L.E. for Spanish intermediate levelCertifies sufficient proficiency to communicate in everyday situations, which do not require a specialised knowledge of the Spanish language.
- Diploma in Spanish - Proficiency level - D.E.L.E. for Spanish Proficiency level
Certifies sufficient proficiency to communicate in situations requiring advanced use of Spanish and an understanding of Spanish culture.
